Consistent success over a considerable duration describes the career of Warwick varsity field hockey coach Bob Derr.
He directed the Warriors for 39 years before retiring in 2022. His 630 wins makes him one of just 18 coaches to win over 600 games.
Under Derr's leadership, the Warriors won 14 Section One titles, 11 L-L League crowns, six District 3 championships and three PIAA titles, including back-to-back championships in 1999 and 2000. He was inducted into the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2010.
Derr was inducted into the Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame as an official, in ceremonies held in State College in 2016. He is also a member of the Lancaster-Lebanon and District Three Wrestling Coaches Halls of Fame and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
As of 2018, Derr had worked five PIAA Championship tournaments and he officiated at 13 NCAA Division One tournaments, including six finals.
