Art Morris was a track and field and cross country runner at McCaskey from 1960-63. He was team captain in 1962. He won league and district championships in all three years. He finished second at the PIAA meet in a distance race in 1962.
As a McCaskey senior in 1963, Morris set the state mile record with a time of 4:20.3.
After getting a scholarship to attend Penn State, he lettered in track and field and cross country for three seasons. He was a team captain in 1966.
Later, he coached runners at local schools.
