No one in the Lancaster-Lebanon League has found any more football success in recent years than Manheim Township, but the last three seasons have all ended sooner than expected with losses to Harrisburg in the District 3 playoffs. How to get over that hurdle? "Play as one," says Darius Dixon.

Players attending media day:

(from left, below)

Luke Wagner, senior, tight end, defensive end

Taylor Veilleux, senior, running back, defensive lineman

Marcus Fernandez, senior, running back, linebacker

Will Milazzo, senior, defensive end, guard

Darius Dixon, senior, wide receiver, safety

"I think in past years there's been a lot of stupid penalties. I think this year we're definitely going to cut that out," adds Kenneff. "I think the last couple of years we definitely had some great teams, but I think there were some individuals on that team who were just by themselves, but I think this year we're really playing together."

And Milazzo says this team will be more than a few guys, but a full team getting it done.

While every game is important, the players particularly look forward the Cumberland Valley the first week, Hempfield and then Wilson the last week. Plymouth Whitemarsh presents another challenge, but the team is confident it measures up well against them all.

They see winning against Wilson as a big energy booster entering bye weeks of the District 3 playoffs.
