The Manheim Township boys and girls cross country teams won District 3 titles last year. They are looking to set the pace again this season.

The girls teams going for a 4-peat when it comes to district gold. Coach Kevin Stover says, "We've put something in place, a consistency, an ability to adapt." Stover coaches both the boys and girls teams.

Leading the girls are Lexie Kauffman (left in top photo) and Kaila Atteberry. They talked about "the focus they need during meets."

Both are looking to defend the team titles and lower their own personal times. Kauffman is a lacrosse star as well and plans to attend East Carolina University and play lacrosse.  You might catch Attberry in the skies above Lancaster County as well as running the trails.  She's following in her mom's footsteps in obtaining a pilot's license.

The boys are looking to stay grounded after winning their first district championship in years.  Luke Reinking (left in photo below) and Luke Oles will be leading the way.  Reinking and Oles say they hope to lower their own personal best times but hey are "focused on team success."

The Blue Streaks are hoping to continue their reign atop Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 as well.

LNP | LancasterOnline hosted Cross Country Media Day at its downtown Lancaster office to connect local media with Lancaster-Lebanon League players and coaches.
