Pequea Valley's football team made the playoffs for the first time in 27 years last season and the Braves hope to make it two straight. They were 5-5 last year in Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 5.
The Braves are led by Drew Tibbins, a fullback and linebacker. Tibbins also played basketball for state champion Linville Hall. The dual-sport star says playing both "keeps him in shape." He's looking forward to more success on the football field. Mike Choi coaches the Braves.
The Braves are relying on strong line play to open holes for the ground game. Grae Lankford, Austin Slaymaker and Sterling Furches were on hand for media day.
Slaymaker says, "You could tell how much the team grew together last year. There's a commitment. We have each other's backs. The Braves open against Delaware County Christian at home Aug, 22.
LNP | LancasterOnline hosted Football Media Day at its downtown Lancaster office to connect local media with Lancaster-Lebanon League football players and coaches.
