Kilmoyer Earns McMillan-Hurst Award as Top Football Official

Bruce Kilmoyer, a 21-year official, was named the 2021 winner of the McMillan-Hurst Award presented by the Lancaster Chapter of PIAA Football Officials to its top official.

The award has been presented annually since 1961 to an official who demonstrates good officiating techniques, has a good understanding of the rules and has helped improve the caliber of officiating in the Lancaster-Lebanon League.

Kilmoyer, right in photo, serves as rules interpreter for the Lancaster chapter. Bill McHale, who has served the chapter and District 3 in various capacities, announced Kilmoyer's selection at the chapter's annual banquet. McHale, left, also received his award for 2020 as the chapter did not hold its banquet last year.
